Wow, another fantastic Rotherham leaders & Business Network – PUSHING BOUNDARIES on 3rd May at The New York Stadium. Attended by over 60 leaders we celebrated BEING BOLD and having UNLIMITED AMBITION and it just kept coming from our amazing speakers outlining the incredible positive investments happening in Rotherham and the wider city region as well as celebrating a couple of Rotherham’s finest people!  An enjoyable event that was insightful, uplifting and motivating. Seems like PUSHING BOUNDARIES is in our DNA, in communities, in business in our great people!

We heard about some fantastic developments in Rotherham and the wider Sheffield City Region, outlined by Dan Watson and Damien Wilson and then three amazing examples of the pioneering spirit that is in Rotherham folk from Tony Stewart, MD of ADS Lighting Ltd and Chairman of RUFC, along with Jamie Noble inspiring us with all the wonderful work the community trust does for Rotherham, followed by the 75-75-75 Maltby legend, Ray Mathews, who at the age of 75, ran 75 marathons in75 days and raised over £100k for local Rotherham Newman School.  Keeping fit and healthy makes great business sense – it improves the mind and body and make us much more productive and Ray ‘s new campaign is to get all children in Rotherham running a mile a day – results from his pilot is staggering – already having incredibly results with decreases in bullying and obesity in our kids as well as improved concentration and academic ability! Tony spoke about his early days as an electrician and the business he has built up over the year, now employing over 400 hundred people, as well as his work with partners to build The New York Stadium and a great football team that is now in the play offs – woo hoo! And if that isn’t enough the stadium hosts UEFA under 17’s tournament with the final being played here too. Tony also committed to becoming one of our FOUNDER Pioneers too, so all in all a brilliant day!
