Repairs and Maintenance
Mears provides rapid response and planned maintenance services to local authorities and registered social landlords.
We repair and maintain around 15% – over 700,000 – of the social homes in the UK, from remote rural villages to large inner city estates.
We also manage Direct Labour Organisations, as interim support or in full partnership through Joint Venture Companies and Limited Liability Partnerships.
Last year, we completed over two million repairs and received a Customer Excellence Rating of 91% from 80,000 customer surveys.
Mears Housing Management
Mears Housing Management manages over 10,000 homes across the UK, in partnership with central and local government, registered providers, landlords and investors.
We focus on providing affordable housing for homelessness, affordable housing, market rent and care.
We offer innovative financial solutions for both short- and long-term accommodation and full asset management tenancy services.
We operate two not-for-profit registered providers, Plexus and Omega Housing, which deliver affordable and sustainable social housing solutions.
We also offer a Home Improvement Service to help older or disabled people live independently at home.
Mears New Homes
Mears New Homes is the dedicated new-build housing division of Mears Group.
Since 2014, we have developed a strong portfolio of both contracting and development projects across south east England, while progressively expanding into the north and south west with new clients, new locations and larger, more complex opportunities being completed year on year.
Our long-term growth plans are geared towards reflecting the nationwide presence of the group, along with the success established from over three decades of working with communities.
We bring together contemporary designs with sustainable materials, to offer homes for rent and sale that are unique, individual and not mass produced. Mears offers a comprehensive facilities and estate management service for public and private clients, from communal schools in the Highlands to some of the UK’s finest heritage sites including The National Archives at Kew and English Heritage’s Kenwood House.
Our portfolio covers defence estates, education, healthcare, public buildings and commercial office accommodation.
We are supported by the Mears 24/7 contact centre that operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
We provide personal care to over 20,000 elderly and disabled people.
We have a comprehensive range of domiciliary care and complex care services enhanced by the ability to deliver a range of housing adaptations and assistive technology such as telecare.
We deliver broad solutions to the independent living challenges faced by so many elderly people, as well as younger people with physical or mental disabilities.
